Depends on kind of disaster, there are few things need to be done to prepare. You need either to visit the FEMA Web site or contact a local Red Cross chapter. At least you will be aware of the potential for natural disasters in the city you live in. When you will know which types of disasters can strike the place you live, create a disaster plan for your whole family. It has to be simple so everyone can remember the details.

This initiative allows the community to share in the holiday spirit by filling the squad cars and fire trucks with non-perishable goods which will be donated to local charities.
